A park for families, great for picnics, relaxing, sports, exercising, and appreciating art. Great for people-watching on weekends where it is a popular leisure destination among the residents of São Paulo. Its 1,584 square kilometers are home to three lakes, two museums, and many other cultural spaces. The park hosts several events throughout the year, such as free music shows and a water and light show in celebration of the end-of-year festivities. There are also two important monuments for you to visit: the Obelisk and the Monument to the Bandeiras. Take the opportunity to eat at the Selvagem restaurant inside the park: reservations are required.

With skyscrapers, shopping centers, restaurants, cultural heritage, theaters, and cinemas, Avenida Paulista is a major business center, but it is also home to “MASP”, the São Paulo Museum of Art (@masp). At the end of this main avenue, there is also a museum of Japanese history in Brazil, with seasonal art exhibitions, called Japan House.

The Ipiranga Museum is the headquarters of the Paulista Museum, which specializes in Brazilian history and culture, and is part of the University of São Paulo. The building where exhibitions are now located – constructed between 1885 and 1890 - was designed to be a monument commemorating the Proclamation of Independence in 1822. In 1894, the newly created State Museum (Paulista Museum) was transferred to the monument and since then it has been known as the Ipiranga Museum.
